Nepalese-American Community honored with City Proclamation

Nepalese-American Community honored with City Proclamation by City of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. Women for Cause (WFC) कारणका लागि महिला was honored at City Hall, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. Karanka Lagi Mahila (WFC) President Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar received City Proclamation by Council President Rolando Lavarro on behalf of Mayor Fulop. Nepalese and American national anthems were sang atthe event and prominent Nepalese actress Subarna Chhetri performed Nepali folk dance "Jau Jau Relaima". During the event, U.S. Department of Homeland Security District Director John E. Thompson spoken on TPS process. WFC President Dr. Pariyar thanked City of Jersey City for recognizing Nepalese community with City Proclamation.
