Pradeep Pariyar Thapa
Born and raised in Nepal, the country of Mt. Everest, the tallest mountain peak of the world, also the birth place of Buddha, Pradeep Pariyar Thapa Magar loves meeting new people, trekking and travelling to new places. He has been into journalism profession since 1991. He has edited more than a dozen magazines in Nepal and abroad since then and written extensively on social and cultural issues as well as global issues on climate change and political affairs. He has written 7 books on such issues including a poetry book which were published in 2000.
Mr. Thapa is founder of USA Agro Farm, is learned farming enthusiast hailing from a lineage of farmers in Nepal. Beyond his agricultural roots, he is an award-winning media personality and a prominent figure in social advocacy both in the United States and Nepal. With a diverse skill set that extends to brand consulting and IT proficiency, he develops and edits websites and advises institutions and individuals on digital branding. Mr. Thapa currently serves as the Editor of the Nepali-American media platform www.nepalism.com.
Mr. Thapa is also involved as Journey Person 2022-2023 by NOFA-NJ (The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey); Co-founder, Nepali Diaspora Alliance, USA; Founding President, Nepali Media Alliance, USA; Co-founder, Training, Access & Progress (TAP); Co-founder, Emerging Farmer's Network; Founder, Eyebrowverse.com
He had also served on the Membership Verification Committees of NRN NCC of USA, Nepal-America Journalist Association and served on the Court-appointed Member of Association of Nepalis in Americas (ANA) Election Committee.
He served on the advisory board of Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA); Magar Association USA, ADWAN.ORG, and International Artists Forum, USA.
He is also the founding Chairperson, Nepali Media Alliance, USA; founding General Secretary, Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists, Kathmandu; former Secretary, Nepal Editor's Forum, Kathmandu; former Deputy Coordinator, Expatriate Nepali Journalists Network (ENJN); former Media Coordinator, Global Federation for Nepali Literature (GFNL); founding Member/Secretary, Gurkha Memorial Trust/Museum Nepal ; founding Secretary, Nepal-Hungary Friendship Association, Kathmandu and founding Secretary, Master Mitrasen Memorial Academy, Kathmandu.
