The Shadow

A dark,
abstract part of my life
my failure
my bravado
my dark shadow.
It challenges my viability
of what I am or not
it is the only witness of my vicissitudes
and all my deeds - bad or good.
I wish to be shadowless
like the sun
but it seems to be impossible
until I lay on the pyre
my past
my hitherto
my dark shadow.
